Carlos Pérez-Herce was born in Madrid, Spain (1944). Here he initiated his artistic formation and has lived the most part of his life, with the exception of several years of apprenticeship outside Spain

During his already long career, he has used a great variety of technics and art materials. More than five hundred protraits, around two thousand landscapes, countless drafts and sketches, as well as painting cartoons for tapestries, fans and silk shawls, ceramic painting, glass, etc.

Regarding his subjects, he has portrayed some of the most significant personalities of his time. A great part of his landscapes are included in collections with the generic name of "suites": "Suite España" comprised of 260 works; "Suite Alhambra" of 50; "Suite Sinfónica" of 25; "Suite Chopin" of 20; "Suite Maravillas" of 30; "Suite Aranjuez" of 22; etc.

A great part of his work has been comissioned by the Catholic Church, Universities, Official Bureaus, and Spanish and Foreign private and official Institutions.

Nowadays he lives in Madrid, where he has his studio, even though he painted most part of his work in the last years in the atelier he has in Toledo.
